Slovenia Travel Itinerary Highlights
Welcome to Ljubljana – Your New Favorite European Capital
Think of Ljubljana (loo-blee-ah-nah) as Europe’s best-kept secret. It’s charming, walkable, and bursting with personality. You’ll check in, meet your fellow adventurers, and then we’ll head into the cobblestone Old Town for a relaxed, get-to-know-you stroll over picturesque bridges and through lively squares. By dinner, we’ll already feel like old friends, especially after a glass of local wine (because vacation rules, right?).
Vintgar Gorge & Lake Bled – Where Postcards Come to Life
Let’s step straight into a real-life fairytale. First stop? Vintgar Gorge, where we’ll follow a wooden boardwalk alongside a rushing turquoise river, with waterfalls cascading all around us. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop and say, Is this even real?!
After a scenic lunch, we’ll head to Lake Bled, Slovenia’s most famous (and most jaw-dropping) landmark. We’ll hop in a traditional Pletna boat to visit the island before wrapping up the day with coffee and a slice of Bled’s famous cream cake. (We dare you to stop at just one bite.)
E-Biking Through the Julian Alps – Because We’re Here for the Views
We hit the trails on e-bikes (hello, power assist!) for a breathtaking ride through the Radovna Valley. The best part? You don’t have to be an Olympian to enjoy it—these bikes give you a little boost so you can fully soak in the mountain views without breaking too much of a sweat.
Over the Vršič Pass and Into the Soča Valley – Welcome to Wonderland
Midway through the trip, we cross Vršič Pass, Slovenia’s highest mountain road. Once we arrive in Soča Valley, you’ll start to notice something magical: the color of the water. It’s this insane shade of emerald green that looks like it’s been photoshopped.
Whitewater Rafting on the Soča River – The Most Fun You’ll Have All Week
Calling all adrenaline junkies! We’ll gear up and hit the rapids on the Soča River, splashing our way through a fun, beginner-friendly whitewater rafting trip. It’s an absolute blast—thrilling, but safe enough that you’ll be laughing (and not screaming for dear life).
Zip-Lining Over the Učja Gorge – Fly Like a Superhero
Ever wondered what it feels like to soar over a canyon with nothing but air beneath you? You’ll find out as we zip-line across the stunning Učja River Gorge! If you’ve never zip-lined before, don’t worry—we’ll cheer each other on, and by the time you take off, you’ll be grinning ear to ear.
Wine & Dine in Slovenia’s Version of Tuscany
After all this adventure, it’s time to slow down, savor, and head to Goriška Brda, Slovenia’s wine country, where rolling hills and family-run vineyards make for the perfect setting to toast to an incredible week.
But first—a cooking class! We’ll roll up our sleeves and learn to make a traditional Slovenian dish before sitting down for a long, leisurely lunch. Then, we’ll taste some of the region’s best wines and olive oils.
Back to Ljubljana – Until Next Time!
With our hearts (and cameras) full, we’ll return to Ljubljana for some final exploring before heading home.
