Their programs provide funding, resources, and tools to protect endangered sea turtle species. They provide support for important turtle nesting beaches around the world, and lead campaigns to end the demand for turtleshell products, among other important efforts. Canyon Calling donates a trip on their auction site, with the proceeds of the bid going directly to SEE Turtles. We also support this critical cause on Giving Tuesday, and are a platinum sponsor.
Giving Back to Great Old Broads
Great Old Broads for Wilderness greatoldbroads.org is a national organization that engages and ignites the activism of elders to preserve and protect wilderness and wild lands. Conceived by older women who love wilderness, Broads gives voice to the millions of older Americans who want to protect their public lands as Wilderness for this and future generations. Canyon Calling donates a trip on their annual auction site, with the proceeds of the bid going directly to Great Old Broads for Wilderness.
Giving Back to US Wildlife Trafficking Alliance
One elephant is poached every 15 minutes for its tusks to fuel a massive, global demand for ivory products. As a member of the Adventure Travel Trade Association, we have teamed up with the US Wildlife Trafficking Alliance to help protect elephants. Canyon Calling donated a fantastic trip on their e-bay Charity auction site to help curb elephant trafficking. Together, we can save elephants and preserve this magnificent species for generations to come!

Morocco
A guest offering first aid
On some of our Morocco trips we bring toothbrushes and school supplies to Berber families in the village where we overnight in the High Atlas. We often have tour guests in the medical profession and they are happy to help out when they see villagers in obvious need of medical attention as we see in this photo. We also stay with a Berber family contributing to their economic health as well as to the community.
Peru
On some of our Peruvian Andes trips we bring school supplies and small toys to the children, helping us all connect and to give back to these wonderful and promising youths.
We give back in another global sense – to practice and promote the principles of Leave No Trace. LNT principles help ensure the sustainable use of the wilderness for years to come. We also promote No Single Use Plastics on our trips.
