We want to share a story with you. This story is about Deb, one of our treasured guests who lived on the East Coast at the time of our trip.
Like many women who travel with us, Deb was going through an incredibly challenging season in her life. She had recently lost her adult daughter to cancer, and her tragic experience left her feeling heartbroken, empty, and lost. She knew she needed an escape in order to process her loss and figure out what her life would look like after her only daughter passed away.
Through an online search, Deb found Canyon Calling at exactly the right time.
She decided to join us on one of our signature trips, The Sedona Sojourn, with hopes that the gorgeous scenery would provide a soothing balm to her soul. Deb was right — she immediately fell in love with the captivating landscape and calming energy in the Sedona desert.
She knew her surroundings would be inspiring on the trip, but Deb wasn’t expecting a truly transformative adventure.
To deepen the mystical desert experience, we offered the guests on the trip the opportunity to meet with a psychic who’s renowned in the region. This healing experience… this trip… this group of women… they were all exactly what Deb needed.
She walked away from the trip more whole — with a healthy sense of self, purpose, and what her next steps would be. After this adventure, Deb booked several more trips with Canyon Calling. And, like most women do on our trips, she became a tight tribe with her travel companions and guide.
This adventure of a lifetime inspired Deb to move to Sedona in 2019, and she’s living a bright life again — amongst the majestic canyons, healing energy, and glorious red rocks.

Your trips are top-notch adventures that are all about getting in touch with the many facets of Nature’s splendor while doing something special for one’s self. We’ve camped really comfortably in Southwest canyons and hiked, biked and ridden horses and jeeps. Every day is a new activity which makes for a great vacation.
My word for this trip was trust. We trusted one another with our challenges and our hearts. From the full moon in Canyon de Chelly to sloshing up the Narrows – I feel so lucky to be part of this great cosmic experience!
You did it again … not just an adventure but a wonderful, unforgettable life experience was my gift from your care and planning. Once again this trip proved how courageous and loving are women all over the world. Our travel team was great.

Wow, what a great trip. The highlights for me were the thrill of watching 70 baby green turtles crawl to the sea and being massaged by a hot waterfall!

It was obvious how much you cared about our comfort, pleasure and safety…not to mention your deep knowledge, love and reverence of Sedona and the surrounding areas. My experience was amazing, awakening and oh so profound. Add our extreme joy and outbursts of laughter to the mix, and we have the ultimate ‘it’s a girl thing’ experience!!!!
